LittleBigPlanet has featured in the news on this website quite a few times recently. However, there are several features that may or may not have been officially announced for the fun-for-all game, which is due on the PlayStation 3 this autumn. I will take a look at a couple of my personal favourites that I’m hoping get done properly.
Dynamic Lighting
There have been rumours popping up suggesting there might be lighting support in LBP. Well it seems these rumours were true, an image file displaying many scenes from LIttleBigPlanet in-game appears to show various lighting styles. Be warned the image file is a whopping 5.5mb with dimensions of 4020px × 5444px. You can see it here. This lighting concept could very well add a whole new layer of game play, allowing for a whole set of new scenario types.
Bad Guys
This one has been officially confirmed by Media Molecule themselves, although details have been scarce. It appears enemies come in two types. Firstly, there is your standard platformer-type enemy, who will wander across the screen and possibly involve projectiles of some sort. Then there has been evidence of enemies built using the same system used to build the levels themselves. The latter tend to be larger baddies, presumably the bosses you may meet at the end of a stage.
