Avatar, a futuristic humans versus aliens film, is due for release this year (IMDB says 18 December 2009). The movie is written and directed by James Cameron, who you probably know for his Terminator films.
Twentieth Century Fox are behind the film, while the game rights are owned by Ubisoft. THe movie has already been announced as having an IMAX 3D experience, but now Ubisoft have detailed information about the game.
Apparently the game will be developed using new 3D gaming technology, allowing gamers to really “immerse” themselves in the game.
3D technology is rumoured to be making more of an appearance in the coming years, with 3D capable TVs stated for release in 2009-10.
