Call of Duty 4 Multiplayer Perk Combinations and Tactics
After a few weeks of promising to do it, I finally got round to actually writing the new Call of Duty 4 Tips and Tricks article.
This new and updated post will take in to account the previous ideas and apply them to your suggestions in the comments.
First of all is a list of recommended class profiles to use…
Custom Classes
- StealthThis profile focuses on ambushing your opponents by flanking them from behind or the sides.
Main: MP5 (silenced)Side: Desert Eagle
Perk 1: Bandolier
Perk 2: Stopping Power
Perk 3: Dead Silence
- Long RangeThis is for those that like to shoot from a distance but not quite a sniper, extra ammo and a decent long range weapon make this ideal.
Main: M16 (Red Dot scope)Side: Desert Eagle
Perk 1: Bandolier
Perk 2: Stopping Power
Perk 3: Extreme Conditioning
- PowerA class of pure power, capable of wiping out enemies instantly but presents an easy target.
Main: RPD (Grip)Side: Desert Eagle
Perk 1: RPD Grip
Perk 2: Stopping Power
Perk 3: Deep Impact
- RushA nice one for people who like to get their hands dirty and enter the fray.
Main: M4 (Red Dot scope)Side: Desert Eagle
Perk 1: Special Grenades x 3
Perk 2: Juggernaut
Perk 3: Deep Impact
This article is an on-going work in progress, so keep checking back as I will be adding more information in a day or two, including tactical tips and tricks!

hay mark i have a conflicting problem when i play, i try to get head shots with the R700 and it usually works but as i get in to the game i start to move around alot and start to get into close quarters, but on ocasions (near half the time) i get caught in the open and well u no the rest. i use a shotgun i was wondering if you would have a good combo which allows range, power( for tight spaces) and versatility. thanks.

Hi milzyboi,
Unfortunately Mark is no longer an author for JVG, but I should be able to help you anyway. I’m an absolute fan of CoD4 myself.
In terms of getting range and power, I’d recommend using the same layout as the Stealth profile above, put switch the silenced MP5 with a red dot scope. I used this as my generic class for ages, seems to work in most situations.
Also try swapping the Dead Silence for Extreme Conditioning if you like to be constantly on the move.
plus with the level ”Wet works” i was playing a random MTD (merc team deathmatch) and i was wondering around and i found some shotgun ( M104 or something) and i found it really effective at thining out all the ruskies. anyways do u play Xbox or PS3?
