Fans were practically ‘virtually queing’ to get there hands on the new COD4 map pack this weekend but were greeted by a variety of connection errors and lost points. Servers could simply not cope with the staggering demand and many gamers lost valuable xbox live points.
Despite these big problems Infinity Ward has stated that it is now safe to purchase the map pack online through the Xbox Live service. So what is in store for PS3 fans? Infinity Ward is convinced that the same problems should not occur and have complete confidence in the Playstation architecture.
Sources also suggest that it should not be long until we see the release of the new pack on the Playstation 3. We cant wait to try out these new maps but will there be enough time before GTA IV?

Oof I had this problem over the weekend. Rationally I thought my Xbox was broken, so decided to leave it switched off for 24 hours, and then hey presto everything was back to normal.
Mad how one game/four maps can cripple a whole network. I haven’t got the maps yet, I’m gonna wait to after GTA so that I have something to look forward to after the GTA hype dies down.
