Criterion have been good to their fans. They released several significant, and importantly free, patches to Burnout Paradise for a good while after it came out. Now they have moved on to bigger things, the downloadable content is still going to be coming…at a price, but a good price none-the-less.
Burnout Paradise is already a racing game full of screeching tyres and car smashing fun. Yet Criterion are attempting to make it decidedly more exciting by adding a whole new game mode, Cops and Robbers. This mode has appeared before in Burnout, but not for many years. The mode involves outrunning police if you are a “robber” or catching robbers as the police.
This, along with several other packs of DLC, ensures Burnout Paradise is going to be one of the freshest and most updated racing titles on all platforms for another year running at least. The police chase mode has always been a popular one, which always caused a slight confusion as to why it has never been re-implemented.
Get your engine revving and your tyres spinning in anticipation of the police pursuits and enjoy the recently released “Pass the controller” Party Pack, which gives players the chance to participate in offline multiplayer game modes.
