The previously announced update for the official EU PlayStation website, which adds a host of new trophy features, including comparing them to friends, has now gone live.
Here’s a snippet of the new features added:
“Trophy information has been enhanced, so now you can see how many Trophies you have collected in PLAYSTATION 3 games, compare them against your PSN Friends and check leaderboards to see how you rank against the rest of your Friends List on a particular game.”
This is another great step forward by SCEE in bringing us a PlayStation Network service that can compete with Xbox Live. Hopefully it won’t be too long before we get features like PlayStation Store queuing and messaging friends.
To access the new PSN features, head over tohttp://eu.playstation.com/ and click the sign in link in the purple PSN bar at the top of the page. You can now compare your PS3 trophies with all your PlayStation Network friends.
This is a great way to start a competitive game with your mates. Why not set targets to get such and such trophy or to get a certain amount of gold trophies before anyone else? Then everyone can keep an eye on how everyone else is doing by using this new feature.
