After writing the article on how there are just too many good games in this world and not enough money. I decided to take a look at some of the games I will be buying this year. Forgetting the fact I will no doubt need a loan to cover the costs of my gaming addiction, there are plenty of reasons to feel good when thinking of games in 2009.
First and foremost is no doubt one of the most anticipated games on the PlayStation 3 for a long time, Killzone 2. This is the sequel to a game I’ve never played and it still makes me feel quivery when I see the videos and screenshots. To add to my monetary woes, I plan on buying Killzone (I have the 60GB backwards compatible PS3) prior to purchasing Killzone 2 itself.
A few other games I need to buy are ones that have actually been out for a while now, but I just haven’t got around to actually getting them. I’ll just put these ones in a tidy list while I look for that homeowner loans application form…
- Resistance 2
- Call of Duty: World at War
- Burnout Paradise (I’m just waiting for the Ultimate Box, out February 6th 2009 in the UK)
Back on to the subject of games due out throughout this year I have a pretty hefty itemisation building up. For this reason I will again be utilising the magical power that is bullet point lists:
- F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin
- Resident Evil 5
- Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
- Bioshock 2: Sea of Dreams
- Red Faction: Guerilla
- Ghostbusters: The Video Game
A few others that are uncertain in terms of release date:
- I Am Alive
- Heavy Rain
- Infamous
- MAG: Massive Action Game
- Prey II
- TimeSplitters 4 (if it ever goes ahead now)
I’m sure there are still games missing off my many lists that I can’t quite remember right now but you get my drift. If you are anything like me, suddenly that junk mail offering you a loan seems quite enticing, no?
