This isn’t a news article, I decided to take a break from reporting gaming news today and instead focus on some opinionated content. This time I’ll be taking a look at parties. We all have them and attend them, some more than others. Every party has a set of things that need to be prepared, usually dependant on the party audience.
For instance, an adult party will have alcohol on the to do list, whereas a children’s party will have jelly and ice cream. Kids might have pass the parcel on the party supplies list, whereas adults may have drinking games.
Up until recently, there were few identical items on the party supplies list of requirements. This has changed with casual and fun gaming solutions like the Wii and the explosion of interactive music games such as Guitar Hero. Every party now has a video game involved at some stage, either as a side game or sometimes as the whole party entertainment.
These video games have allowed non-gamers to enjoy what gamers have enjoyed for years, fun and friendly competition. People of all skill levels and ages can play, as there’s a little something for everyone.
So what do you think? Have video games become vital for throwing a party with friends and family?
