According to industry experts the Nintendo DS could be killed off by the IPhone when Steve Jobs finally announces the release of App Store. App Store will allow third party developers to produce application and games for the mobile device. The device is of course touch screen enabled which makes it a direct competitor to the DS. Further more the IPhone makes a more ideal solution as it has more storage space and means that gamers don’t have to carry around a separate phone and gaming device.

We personally love the IPhone and think it is a great gadget. The graphics processor may not be up to much but it would certainly suffice. The IPhone also has motion detection capabilities which may bring up some interesting ideas for control systems. Could see some Nintendo Wii like innovations. Essentially the release of the App Store could shake up the industry dramatically and we for one would be first in line to get hold of some quick fire games for the IPhone. I’m sure Apple wouldn’t mind either as it would mean more people would be buying their device.
