I’ll kick right off with the bad news. No beating around the bush here. No sir-ee. Straight up, honest answers no matter how negative they might be.
Remember those rumours of co-operative gameplay coming to Killzone 2 via DLC? It turns out that Guirella Games have looked in to the idea and decided that the service would be too “tacked on”, which they didn’t want. So no co-op downloadable content.
Now for some good news to get us over this nasty revelation, not all Kilzzone 2 DLC related information is bad this week. The official PlayStation Blog has announced the first DLC for KZ2 will hit the PlayStation Store on April 30th. Despite early rumours suggesting this will be a free download, it will be a paid for product, although no price has been set at this time.
The “Steel and Titanium” map pack contains two maps, Wasteland Bullet and Vekta Cruiser. The latter is a completely indoor level, which should result in some hectic battles. The former takes place on a high speed train, where hitting obstacles protruding from the ceiling or walls will result in death.
Hopefully the two map pack won’t cost the ehaven and earth combined but only time will tell.
