Guerrilla Games’ upcoming shooter, Killzone 2, is being highly anticipated by gamers worldwide. The PS3 exclusive hits store shelves in the US on February 27. While a demo has been confirmed for a while now, little more was known about its release.
In the US if you preorder your copy of Killzone 2 at Gamestop you can secure early access to the demo version as early as February 5. But don’t worry Americans, if you were hoping to try the game before you buy then you just have to wait. The US demo is due out soon after the games official release.
Onto more relevant news (for me), SCEE have announced that the European release of the Killzone 2 demo will not require any pre-order as it will be freely available on the PlayStation Store. No confirmations on when we can expect to see the demo, however there are rumours of it making an appearance on February 19.
I’m sure those of you in the US might be able to acquire European accounts to download the demo anyway. I do it all the time with the US store anyway.

Can’t wait for the pre-order demo. I’m really looking forward to trying the “hide and peek” controls. If it works well, this could bridge the best of both worlds between first person and third person shooters.
I’m also hoping we see some costumes and levels for LBP. That would be awesome.
I’m sure there were some concepts of a Helghan soldier costume for LBP, I might do an article on the most wanted costumes for LittleBigPlanet

Just got the call from EB Games that the demo codes are in.
The dude mentioned that I can play it now, but I’m sure that he is mistaken.
Nice, if it is true you might have to write up an early review for me ;)
Unfortunately the card that the promo code came on says valid from Feb 5th through 26th. I tried it anyways and received the error message. We’ll just have to wait.
That’s a shame. You will still be getting it much earlier than me and the rest of the UK/Europe though!
As I stated by my recent article, you also get the Resident Evil 5 demo on the 5th.
