Although the game has not even been officially announced on the PlayStation 3 yet, several UK retailers are listing Left 4 Dead as available for pre-order.  Hopefully this is true, as the game certainly looks impressive.  The zombie-meets-GTA game supposedly features a city as large as those found in the hugely successful Grand Theft Auto 4.  The game is multiplayer based, with no single-player mode mentioned so far.

It was rumoured to be coming to PS3, with EA hinting they might take over the port rather than Valve publishing it directly.  This is a similar situation that happened with the Orange Box, let’s hope it isn’t plagued (haha, zombies…plague, get it?) by the same flaws as that game.  Knowing EA ports, it will be inferior to the Xbox 360 and PC versions but getting the game at all is a bonus.  None of the retailers, which includes Game and Play.com, have given a definite release date at this time.
