Alex Evans, co-founder of Media Molecule, has spoken out to Eurogamer.net regarding a new reveal relating to Little Big Planet (LBP). Evans seems to hint that there are several more surprises to choose from.
The reason for a new announcement is down to the fact Evans wants to shock everyone, similar to the reaction from the huge GDC (Game Developer Conference) 2007 reveal. The original GDC showing caused a huge stir amongst casual and hardcore gamers alike. It seemed to suggest LBP would cater for all gamer types. Allowing unlimited user-created and premium content additions, LBP should also give a tremendous run for your money, with no repetitive story lines to worry about.
Speaking about the new announcement, Evans had the following to say:
“It’s still LittleBigPlanet, but people will be saying, ‘I thought it was this – now you’re telling me it’s this as well?!’ That excites me hugely.”
Considering how much publicity the previous display gave LBP, it’s no wonder he wants to do more. These statements beg to important questions. First of all, what else could LBP offer us? Secondly, when will this announcement take place? For the latter, I would presume all will be revealed at this year’s GCDC, scheduled to run between August 18th-20th. In relation to the first question, then the answer is anyone’s guess. Feel free to leave your suggestions below.
