New look Playstation 3 store coming very soon! Today Sony announced the news that many have been waiting for and that is that there will be a new Playstation store out very soon. The look and interface of the store will be completely changed and users will be able to find items much more easily.
The design is essentially very similar to something that Apple would have designed and gives a nice smooth and sleek finish to applications and icons. This should be expected when you consider the graphical quality that the Playstation 3 delivers to its games. At the press release we were given an insight into 8 different categories and showed how much quicker the new store will run. The new store uses a different architecture which means it will run more smoothly.
The new store should receive a warm welcome from fans but what really makes a store is its content. We cant help but feel that Sony should be concentrating on the content. Users want downloadable films and more game add-ons. Sony has failed to take advantage of these key areas. We are hoping that they are simply holding out until they release home. We are expecting home to replace the need for a store and be the one stop shop for all users needs. At Just Video Games we want to be able to walk into a virtual cinema or video shop and purchase dvd’s. The potential for home is staggering but will Sony take advantage????
