Niko Spotted In New York

Niko was spotted earlier today in New York and just about every other game store on the planet as GTA IV was released. Gamer’s queued through the night to get there hands on a copy of the game as some stores had special midnight openings. In one report it was heard that two men attacked each other with deck chairs to be first in line for the game. Some gamers believed that there would be special offers or prizes for the first few people through the doors of some stores. This of course is not an uncommon tactic used by some companies.

Industry experts are predicting that stores across the globe will shift around 9 million copies which should see GTA IV break Halo 3’s record and see the developers pocket a tidy three hundred million dollars in revenue. This prediction is looking increasingly likely as many online stores sold out there allocations weeks ago and today it’s proving difficult to find a copy of the game in stores. We popped down to Tesco this morning to see if any copies were left and unsurprisingly the store had sold out by 6.00 am this morning.

All we can say is have fun folks and we will see you online. Don’t forget to check out our GTA IV tips and tricks section either.
