Right, so we know anyone that owns the PC and Xbox 360 version of Fallout 3 is getting exclusive DLC. Along with this DLC, of which they will be getting one a month from February, they also get a post-ending game continuation fix. This means that once they complete the final mission, the game will not end as it does at the moment. This allows gamers to go back and finish of the hundreds of side-quests featured throughout the Fallout 3 world.
The DLC is exclusive, PS3 owners aren’t getting it because Microsoft shelled out a load of money to make it that way. Fair enough, you get what you pay for. But the annoying thing (for me anyway) is that Bethesda aren’t even considering releasing a patch for PS3owners so they can simply enjoy the game they already own.
It’s not a life-changing “oh no!”. You can just go back to save and not finish the game, but seriously how hard would it be to release a quick patch allowing PlayStation 3 users to carry on playing?
This doesn’t make me want to buy the Xbox 360 or PC version if that was what they wanted, because then I’d have to pay extra just to be able to do this as well. In all honesty the game is amazing, I love it. However, it gets repetitive and I don’t want DLC for this reason. There is plenty of game content to keep me happy. For simplicity reasons I just would have liked a fix to the game-ending problem.
