We got our hands on Battlefield 1943 last night and we put it through a quick playtest to see how it pans out as a small downloadable title.
Despite only weighing in at 550MB this game packs quite a punch. Up close some of the details in the land are slightly lacking, but when viewed overall the landscape looks gorgeous, for instance the water quality for the sea looks so nice you wish you were on holiday.
The Frostbite Engine works well, giving a full dynamic feel to every battle. Someone hiding behind that building? Just get in a tank and drive right through it and crush the bugger.
We will have a full review tomorrow after the servers have been populated with more than 4 people at one time.
