At Just Video Games we often bang on about PS3 updates and how they are going to transform the black fabled beast. Despite our apparent enthusiasm we are often left disappointed but guess what? This time Sony has promised new and exciting features. Woo hoo. One thing being rumoured again is the in game XMB feature. Sony themselves have admitted it is something that they want to include within their software but have struggled to incorporate it so far.

One of the other big updates expected is the ps3 trophies system. This is thought to be similar to Microsoft’s achievement points system and could open up a whole new area for gamers to compete in. Imagine the bragging rights you would have. It would be even better if they incorporated it into Home. You should get special coloured pants or a flashy bandanna if you are in the top 50 or so. Then you could walk around like the big dog. You could command respect from fellow gamers when exploring the home environment.

Finally we should expect a couple of new video clips and games to appear in the update. Hope its a good one.
