PlayStation Home was released publicly about a month ago, but still hasn’t kicked off yet. I have only been on the application 4 times so far, one of those was an accidental XMB button press.
This has led me to miss a big update, which I’m suprised I didn’t pick up off my blog feed. PlayStation Home Europe finally got the Red Bull Air Race at the start of January ‘09. THis isn’t huge, but it is a good update.
Well this time I’m going to be on the ball. Home has seen another new update, this time adding another new area and some improvements to the Air Race.
I’ll start with the Air Race. There is now a leader board section where you can see top flyers worldwide and from your friends list. You can also select from several different aircraft when actually doing the race.
The bigger side of this update, though currently poitnless, is the addition of the Events space. This was featured earlier in the year for the private Beta. It is the area used to display important Sony gaming events virtually. They had screenshots and videos from the event in this area. There are some thigns you can do though. There’s a game called Tri-Sphere and a gallery, which apparently hides a competition if you can find some hidden numbers and place them on the website.
Anyway, I’ll be checking it out. If you have a PS3, switch it on and get on Home. Hopefully the updates will keep coming.
