Arsenal are going to be fitting their stadium with the technology to send in-match replays to people with PlayStation Portables. That’s right, if you have a PSP and go to the Emirates Stadium (either as a fan or opposing team – the latter more likely) then you will be able to connect to the system which will allow people to view information, statistics and video highlights/replays from the game.
This sounds like great use of the PSP and the technology it holds. The PSP really is an amazing device, it’s just a shame it has to compete with the likes of casual-friendly Nintendo DS (still a great handheld console though). If this gets popular enough, it may inspire further uses of the PSP and it’s high quality screen and built-in WiFi.
Apparently the new feature is set to launch at some point in the next 18 months and has already been tested.
