Anybody heard of Red Faction. Well Red Faction is a popular first person shooter that is famed for its destructible environments. This time round developers have reinvented the series by turning their latest offering into a third person shooter. The latest Red Faction will be named Red Faction Guerrilla and will be released between April and March in 2009. Guerrilla will make appearances on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
Developers have set Guerrilla 50 years on from the original Red Faction and put us in the position of an insurgent fighter. We are apart of the re-established red faction who is fighting for liberation against the oppressive Earth Defence force. The setting for the game Mars is an expansive open world which gives gamers plenty of opportunities for exploration.
THQ are keeping this one under wraps and have not released much info on the up and coming title. We have been ensured that the destructible environments will remain in place and that some new control systems will be put in place. Red Faction has always been an enjoyable gaming experience but has never been able to really push the boundaries. Lets hope that Guerrilla can bring something new to the series.
