Sam & Max

Or is it Max & Sam. Well anyway Sam & Max are making a big return to the bright shiny screen with its latest adventure for Nintendo Wii. Some of you old crumblies and I mean really old crumblies may remember Sam & Max for the PC which came out in 1993. The point and click caper became a real cult favourite and it comes as no surprise that the game is on its way back.

In the up coming title the wise cracking duo are set to return to their old ways by fighting crime with an array of dirty tricks and weapons. This humorous adventure shall feature weapons such as mallets and guns. The return will also see a complete graphical overhaul. Max and Sam are going truly 3D and doing it in style. Despite the 3D update the charming cartoony style visuals remain. It reminds me of Roger Rabbit almost. Classic!!

Essentially Sam & Max sticks to the same routines as last time and gamers will be put through a series of mini games. Puzzles have to be solved and laws have to be broken. The games are very much built around slap stick comedy and gags. Characters constantly pop in and out of the game and you get a real feel for each character as they have been beautifully put together. The game appears to be put together in a real caring way and will appeal to the existing fan base.

Developers Telltale Games even claim that the demand got the bad for its return that they feared their offices would be stormed. Would be quite amusing to see a load of grown men dressed as cartoon characters storm a development team’s office blog. Would make a great video, good viral marketing video we think.

When we have more details on this one we will come back to you but in the mean time checkout the classic footage on youtube.com/

Genius!!!!!!
