So the Xbox 360 has hit the 6 million mark in Europe for hardware unit sales, what should Sony do about it? That’s right, launch even more of their cliché advertisements, which are so deep, or more likely just too weird, that no-one understands them. That advertisement is a SCEE ad recently displayed in the Spanish territories. If you have any suggestions to what it really means, then please let us know.
Anyway, Xbox 360 has hit the significant milestone of six million sales, helped recently by the price cuts, which put the lowest tier Xbox 360 SKU at a cheaper price than the Wii. This makes the Xbox 360 the cheapest console available (if you don’t mind the worthless hard drive-free model). It’s good to see the worldwide credit crunch, which is making us face a winter without heat and food, isn’t affect our virtual lives!
The Vice President of EMEA, Chris Lewis, said: “We’re very excited that more consumers in Europe are joining the ever-growing Xbox 360 community.“ He also added, “We’re supporting this momentum by putting launch-level investment into a European advertising campaign, launching this week”.
Let’s hope Microsoft’s ad campaign has a clearer message than Sony’s abysmal attempt.
