Games publisher Namco Bandai has announced the shipment numbers so far for Soul Calibur IV. The total shipped so far is 2 million units. After launching on July 29, the game has enjoyed high-rankings in the charts for Japan, US and Europe. Within one week of release, the game shot to the number one spot in the UK games chart.
The game was released on both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, with Amazon.com showing the PS3 version very slightly ahead of the Xbox 360 in the video games charts (27th and 28th places respectively).
Both systems offer an exclusive playable character that the other system doesn’t, with both characters derived from Star Wars. The Xbox 360 version of the game allows you to play as Yoda, the little green Jedi Master alien. Whilst owning the PS3 copy will give you the chance to play as Dark-Force supremo, Darth Vader. It’s a tough choice as to who is best, Darth Vader or Yoda and his strangely limber movements, considering his aged appearance. Darth Vader has complete dark force mastery and is generally one mean bugger.
