The recent wave of games that have released a ‘trophy patch’ has no sign of stopping. The latest title to receive the sought after upgrade is Buzz! Quiz TV. The update was recently made available for download. I’m currently at work so can’t tell you what the patch size is, I’d guess it is relatively small.
In addition to the trophies, which I will list in the trophy section coming soon, there were a couple of other items in the changelog. There are a few bugs that have been fixed relating to the scoreboard. Also the online play stability has been improved, although I never witnessed any problems in this area. Another inclusiion is multiple buzzers can now be used in any single-player mode.
The best non-trophy feature in my opinion is the addition of multi-buzzer in single-player. This counts for both online and offline play. In case you weren’t aware, Buzz! Quiz TV features an online Sofa vs. Sofa mode. This game mode allows over-the-net play; however it only allows one person to play from each PlayStation unit. It’s surprisingly difficult to play with four friends and one buzzer. Everyone shouts a different number, colour or answer. The result ends with the ‘Buzz-holder’ only hearing a garbled mess, panic as the timer ticks down and finally a random button is pushed. Excuse the rant, my point being now everyone in the room has a buzzer, so they can press the answer if they know it’s correct. Note the underlined “know”.
