Unreal Tournament 3 Patch Split – Half Delayed, Half Out Now

Posted by Stefan Crowe On March - 6 - 2009

Bit of a mixed bag for the news today. The bag contains two items, both Unreal Tournament 3 related. One is a very nice looking present and one is, well, it isn’t there yet.

Metaphors aside, the bad news first. The eagerly(?) awaited “Titan Pack” for UT3 has been put back until March 19th. The pack was originally supposed to add the Titan play mode, along with split-screen and trophy support for the PlayStation 3 version of UT III.

Things have changed. Epic has realised how tardy Sony are when it comes to pushing patches through certification, so have instead released the split-screen and trophy enhancements in a seperate patch, which is out right now in Europe and sometime soon for the US.

Some people have reported problems with the Trophies not syncing properly with their account. Hopefully this is just a temporary bug in the system, not requiring another patch.

The PC version was still on track for yesterdays release although I haven’t had time to confirm whether it actually happened yet.
