Konami hit rock bottom again as MGO beta crashes to the ground in an almighty thud. Late last week we saw the appearance of MGO on the PSN store and the word spread like wildfire on the web. This lead to a mass influx of requests to the Konami server and of course it simply couldn’t cope. This all sounds too familiar. Of course Konami experienced similar issues with PES2008 and Infinity Ward suffered at the hands of Xbox Live players demand. You think Konami would have learned.
In an official statement Konami have announced that they are temporarily suspending the beta service as they are looking to stabilise the performance of their servers before they continue. This in the short term will annoy many but will benefit us in the long run as the final version should be much more playable. We all remember the Woo’s of Pro Evo 2008.
A new release date for the beta will be set tomorrow and the build up will start once again. Now sort it out Konami!!!!!!
