WipEout HD Price, Release Date and Features

WipEout HD, a remake of the original cult classic sci-fi racer, has had some more information made available regarding a release date and some of the game statistics. The game, which made its successful debut on the PlayStation, Sega Saturn and PC in 1995, has been hotly anticipated since it was announced.

After being set back due to concerns of the game instigating epileptic fits, WipEout HD is officially scheduled for release on 25 September. Even better, that date is for both SCEE and SCEA territories, so no inter-continental delays for this title.

Another significant detail for many people has also been confirmed, the price tag. The prices for the UK and North America are £11.99 and $20 respectively. This puts the rest of Europe at roughly €15-€16 (based on the current conversion rates).

This is a bargain considering it is classed as a “large scale” PSN game, rather than games such as SS:HD and the PixelJunk series so far.
