I love worms. Not the dirt-eating, blind wiggly pink kind. I love the shotgun-wielding, scottish-accented (to name one of a few) wide-eyed ones.
Their screams of “Oh nooeee!” and squeeky “I’ll get you” vengance calls made me chuckle every time. But then it happened. They made it 3D. I cried on the inside that day. However, the day for the Worms redemption is coming.
Further to an article posted by those quirky guys over at The Sixth Axis, which came via GamerBytes, it seems we might be seeing the original Amiga Worms again.
Nostalgia aside, I love the simpler PSN games, you can tell by my constant doting for PixelJunk Monsters.
The game was already reincarnated as a Xbox Live Arcade title. I haven’t played it, mainly because I don’t actually own an Xbox 360 (hence the lack of 360 posts here too). It seems likely a port of the XBLA will be used rather than a full remake of the original from scratch.
HD, 2D Worms anyone?
