Here’s a little bit of interesting news for you all. You know how the PlayStation 3 has all but been confirmed, with an expected cheaper price tag too? Everyone seemed to believe this all meant Microsoft also ahd another price cut coming to negate any positive effects Sony could gain from the slim.
Well it seems that UK retailers have confirmed changes regarding the pricing of the Xbox 360 Arcade and some of the add-on peripherals. Microsoft have declared that the Xbox 360 Arcade will now retail at the new low price of £159.99. Wait. Wasn’t it only £129.99 before?
Yes, the Xbox 360 Arcade was available for £129.99 prior to the announcement, so this rumoured price cut has become a price rise. As if prices going up on a console isn’t bad enough, Microsoft have also stated that some of the accessories will be seeing higher prices too.
Eurogamer don’t mention how the price of the Elite is expected to change, but they do state that there was no mention of the Pro anywhere, reinforcing rumours of its demise.
