Endagadget have announced details released by Microsoft of the next XBL Dashboard update. The Summer 2009 update will include a whole slew of changes, nothing completely life changing, but some pretty decent additions none-the-less.
Highlighting the best, we will see some Netflix changes, including “Movie Parties”, which will allow you to watch movies with friends on their own Xbox 360’s. For the Movie Parties mode, you can set in a virtual theatre with up to seven friends and interact with your avatars.
There will also be a new Avatar Marketplace, this will allow you to buy clothing and crap for your Avatar character. Most likely some people will use, but most of us will see it as the money-grabbing feature it is.
There’s a pretty long list of other changes which you can see in full on Endagadget. Unfortunately, there’s also a note that the internet applications, such as Facebook, Twitter and Last.fm aren’t going to make it into this update.
