The mysterious Xi and associated girl, dubbed Jess, have now been unleashed on the Home community. It turns out it is a mini-RPG virtual adventure in Home itself.
To access “The Hub” of Xi you must go to Home Square and click X on the Xi graffiti near the waterfall (it comes up with a Teleport action pop-up). So, far it is somewhat limited, you simply solve a few puzzles, but it looks like more areas, mysteries and puzzles will be brought to light daily, weekly and/or monthly.
You get a small introduction when you first enter the Xi area. The Hub is a medium sized room with what looks like 3 teleport cubicles on the left. On the right is a notice board, above it is a raised platform with some interactive web browser panels.
In the middle of the rooms are four “holopads”, which seems to be where you can view your current status within Xi, how many puzzles you’ve solved, etc.
Oh, you collect butterflies for every puzzle you solve too.
